Joanna is available as a voice or piano teacher in Isleham, Cambridgeshire.  She has been teaching privately since 2014 and is a friendly and patient teacher, with a wealth of experience teaching individuals and groups of a variety of ages and abilities.

Joanna has taught voice and music for Perform (2019-present), Stagecoach Theatre Arts (2016-18) and Suzanne Scale Performing Arts School (2017), teaching songs and vocal technique to groups of up to 20 children and teenagers at a time.  She has also tutored music, maths, French and English for Cardiff & Vale Tutors and privately.

As a singing teacher, Joanna has a good understanding of basic and advanced singing technique and vocal production, having graduated with an MMus with Merit in vocal performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.  She also specialised in vocal performance in her music degree at the University of Birmingham, achieving a 2:1, and attained a Distinction in Grade 8 Singing (ABRSM) in 2013.

Joanna is also an able accompanist, so pupils need not pay for a separate pianist to sing repertoire through.

Joanna was the Musical Director of Sawtry Chorale (average age 60+) from 2014 to 2015 and again in 2018, and has musically directed numerous productions and rehearsals for the University of Birmingham Gilbert & Sullivan Society and Peterborough Gilbert & Sullivan Players as well as teaching several other small vocal ensembles.  This gives her a wide range of experiences in teaching groups of large and small singers of varying ages and abilities.
